PHP2SHELL, Slots & Components, Icon Manager, listicles, clutterscore, rank trackers, JPEG XL and ancient Roman dinner of death. The folks at Nexcess are trying to destroy their business. They bought up several prominent WordPress plugins. Where each could be purchased separately in the past, now your price will go way up and they force all of them on you. I currently have one client who needs one feature found in one of those plugins. The price they pay for that one feature is already too expensive and now they will be expected to pay three times as much going forward? No, we’ll either find a way to forego that one feature or we’ll find another solution. One such alternative for The Events Calendar Pro is described in this week’s news. I’m sure more alternatives will arise in the near future.
